Create Your Own Mini Creatures

Join us at Heart of the Tribe Gallery for a fun and creative half-day workshop, where you’ll learn how to make your very own beautiful mini creatures from clay.
With detailed, step-by-step guidance in a small group setting, the workshop is led by local artist Shirley Emmerson (B.A. Hons), a highly experienced ceramic and vintage textile sculptor.
Shirley will guide you through the whole process, from making and shaping your creature to adding colour and bringing it to life with glazes.
No experience necessary! Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience working with clay, everyone is welcome. Bring along your own ideas and inspiration, or let your imagination run wild using the demonstration creatures on display during the workshop. A selection of reference images will also be provided to help get your creative ideas flowing.
Everything is included
All clay, tools, glazes and two firings are included in the workshop, so all you need to bring is yourself and your creativity!
Your finished pieces will be carefully taken away to be dried, glazed and fired after the workshop.
Collection: Your pieces will be ready to collect approximately three weeks after the workshop.
Postage: If you’re unable to collect them, postage can be arranged for an additional cost.
