Art Talks with Frank Harwood

Art Talks at Heart of The Tribe Gallery, 4th June 2022

Frank has taught and lectured in the past so his talk was very relaxed and confident. The audience immediately started asking questions as he moved us through about 50 slides of the development of his painting work to his murals.
It was fascinating seeing the images of his past being brought to life in very modern colours and compositions. Evoking a nostalgia that he was now making accessible to a new generation. The thinking behind the creation of his murals was very interesting in terms of his choice of place and site and then seeing the actual process of the physical creation.
We enjoyed being introduced to a dozen sculptures, all ablaze with colour and movement. At the end there was a plethora of questions, everybody was really wanting to know about decisions Frank makes as he constructs and develops ideas and work.
Lots of continued conversation after the talk over tea.
