Life Drawing Sessions at Heart of The Tribe Gallery

During the summer months of June, July and August, Heart of the Tribe Gallery hosted a series of life drawing classes. These classes were led by skilled life drawing and abstract artist Robin Grey. The classes were open to beginners and those with previous experience with life drawing. The sessions took place in the gallery’s main exhibitions space and each week featured a different life model.

The sessions ran for 2 hours, this allowed its attendees to draw the model in a variety of poses for a range length of time. Robin Grey advised and guided its attendees to try some experimental methods of drawing. These exciting methods brought a host of interesting and captivating results to its attendees that also helped to loosen up their drawing. The results from the attendees were excellent and it was fantastic to see so many of them improve greatly over the six sessions.

We look forward to scheduling more life drawing sessions here at Heart of The Tribe Gallery. And hope to host informal monthly sessions starting in the new year.
