‘The Colour of Light’- exhibition launch

We are very excited about our new photography exhibition featuring the work of Glastonbury Artist Kim von Coels.

Kim’s main body of work is in the form of light painting, a form of long exposure photography. There are also other creative photography projects and original art in the form of screenprints, stencil based paintings and drawings. To coincide with the exhibition she has launched her book, The Colour of Light, which features a vast selection of her photographic work.

Last nights private view was a well attended and very sociable event and it was great to see everyone having a lovely time. Kim’s new stop motion ‘Are You Reddy’ was premiered during the course of the evening and is one of 8 stop motion short films that form part of this diverse exhibition.

Kim will be discussing her work on May 15th during one of our ART TALKS, which are free to attend. She will also be offering creative photography studio sessions in the workshop space at our gallery from April 30th To May 8th, if you would like to have your portrait taken or have a go at learning the technique then book yourself a slot.

To learn a little bit about Kim and her work you can read her interview by Vicki Steward on the blog or watch this short documentary (below) by Avalon films. Kim also explains a lot about her light painting in this interview with her sponsor Light Painting Paradise
