Donna Norton

Glastonbury-based ceramicist Donna creates deeply evocative pieces inspired by nature, the feminine, and the shifting seasons. Her work often fuses molten recycled glass with clay forms impressed by leaves, fossils, and natural textures, each piece a celebration of earth’s beauty and the body’s grace.

With years of experience in hand-building, throwing, casting, and glaze experimentation, she continues to explore the infinite possibilities of clay. The elements of earth, air, fire, and water guide her process, as do the organic materials she uses, clay sourced with care, and glass reclaimed from bottles, jars, and stained-glass offcuts.

Her stoneware-fired ceramics are fully frost-proof and designed to live indoors or out, responding to the play of light and season. At the heart of her practice is a devotion to the sacredness of the natural world, and a desire to ground beauty, ritual, and meaning into form.
