We were overwhelmed with the response that we received from our callout for Artist submissions for the exhibition in October and early November 2021. We had entries from locally based artists and ones stationed further afield. We were extremely pleased to see the reach that the open callout had spread to, some submissions coming as far as mainland Europe. The quality of submissions was extraordinary, making the decisions of the judging panel extremely difficult.
Our private view event had a tremendous turn out that provided a fantastic opportunity for exhibiting Artists and guests to connect with each other. We heard some great stories of Artists sharing thoughts and experiences with each other on their practices and artworks. In keeping with the galleries values of supporting local businesses, we were delighted to serve our attendees organic vegan wine supplied by The Green Room in Glastonbury and locally brewed beer from Glastonbury Ales.
Over the course of the six weeks, we had hundreds of visitors pass through our doors from far and wide to come and take in the show. We received such wonderful feedback from our guests regarding the exhibition. Audiences were enthused to see the eclectic mix of artworks on display from over fifty Artists. Whether guests were either calling in to find a new piece for their home, a gift for a loved one or simply to take in the show, the exhibition was sure to have something for everyone. We were absolutely overjoyed with how our first ever Winter Open Exhibition turned out and cannot wait to bring our audience our second Winter Open towards the end of 2022.
If you were unable to catch the exhibition or you would like to view some of the pieces again you can view it online via our virtual 360º tour.
Many of the Artists exhibiting in the Winter Open can be found in our Artist Directory. If you are an Artist and you would like to be directly informed when we are next calling for Artist submissions, you can join our Artist Directory for free via our website.
We would again like to thank everyone who visited, submitted artwork, exhibited and purchased artwork from Heart of The Tribe Gallery’s first Winter Open Exhibition.
