Rachel Snowdon

Rachel is a London-born printmaker and illustrator based in West Devon since 2009. Working primarily with traditional lino-cut techniques, her practice evokes the nostalgia and wonder of 19th-century ornament, botanical illustration, and folkloric whimsy.

With a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Photography from Central Saint Martins, London, Rachel’s background weaves together fine art, visual storytelling, and a passion for craftsmanship. Her work has been exhibited at renowned venues including The Old Operating Theatre, Tate Modern, and OXO Tower Wharf, as well as internationally.

From her home studio, Rachel produces a range of small-batch prints, stationery, and drawing books, each piece handmade with care and intention. She also welcomes bespoke commissions and creative collaborations. Sustainability is a cornerstone of her process: the lino she carves is made from biodegradable wood flour, hessian, and linseed oil, and she prioritises British-made, environmentally responsible materials wherever possible.

Rooted in tradition and touched by magic, Rachel’s prints are quiet celebrations of natural beauty, history, and imagination.
