Shelley Dyer-Gibbins is a force to be reckoned with. Consistently producing high quality work, and making waves in the emerging art scene. Her exhibition at Heart of The Tribe was a culmination of many months of hard work and her passion for what she does is very evident.

Her linocut pieces feature original yet relatable ideas and concepts, strong themes, powerfull women. Images that resonate with the viewer.  Shelley really owns her medium and is bringing it into the 21st century through her use of modern technology such as substrate printing and lightboxes. Her work draws on influential imagery and popular culture making her pieces relatable.

Shelley is proving to be one to watch as she continues her career as an artist with lots of exciting projects in the pipeline. You will soon be able to see her work in Marston Park as well as the 6 galleries around the country which currently represent her. A well attended private view despite the October downpours made for an enjoyable evening. The exhibition featured a large collection of original linocuts as well as her limited edition substrates (which can be displayed outdoors) and hand finished giclee prints of seasonally themed drawings. There was also a selection of lightboxes and LED pieces.
