Abi Turner

Abi Turner is an artist living off grid deep in the halls of Wales.

She utilises folklore as a way to connect to the landscape that surrounds her home and herself. Abi started to make short experimental films made in the fields that surround her home for social media about the folklore of the plants, the hills and and the ancient beasts that were said to reside within them and as my audience grew so did her project and its aims. It also became about wanting to ignite those feelings of connection for others. 

Visual art & printmaking is a large part of what Abi does and she loves using techniques that allow her to sit with the story.

Her lino prints depict the stories shared on my platform within these films and her hand punched tapestries are a further exploration of those prints and their stories.
