Veronica Butt

Born in Glastonbury, Veronica spent her childhood running up and down Bushy Coombe and the Tor.
She studied textile design at The Somerset College Of Arts And Technology and then traveled and worked in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and New Zealand finding her way back to settle down in Charlton Adam, Somerset.
“I enjoy both relief and intaglio printmaking focusing mainly on Lino and drypoint to create artwork. My work reflects my love of rural countryside, animals, birds, pattern and symbols. I enjoy hand printing as it produces an immediate honest image and encourages a strong design element.”
Her linocut prints are colourful, striking, simple and bold whereas her Drypoints are intricate and delicate balancing her creativity.

She also produces a hand printed textile range of cushions, bags and cards under the name VickyPrint, having been nicknamed Vicky all her life.
