Sculpture for the Missing

Wings lowered down at ease in honour and in the memory of those missing, a six foot key hole, a negative space, a void or port hole, in the form of a person, that once occupied that central space, separating the wings, where one could stand in the place of the missing in remembrance, and for a moment the wings belong to you, above the wing's is the head and shoulders of a young woman, with an arm raised three bird's dart from her hand as if a spiritual transformation is taking place, symbolising hope, as one has left home, they'll hope they do the best they can, not to let there family, friends or nation down, and mostly they hope, they will return.

The sculpture faces east so as the sun rises it castings light through the front centre, and as the sun moves to set in the west it casts light from the opposite direction, so in the hope that as the last light travels from the east, it will meet the first light from the same sun travelling from the west within the void or empty space, time its self might slow down, enough that similarities can at last least be found, in that the missing live on in the memories of others.
